Accessory Challenge: Day 28

Today is the last day of the 28-day accessory challenge. I must say it was fun but definitely challenging. Even as an accessory lover I noticed that I do have my favorites that I could probably wear every day! Just because this is over that doesn't mean I'm going to stop sharing my accessory collection with you, so stay tuned and keep visiting Piece, Love and Sole.

Today's accessory is a zebra two-finger ring. I originally saw one at Bloomingdale's but found a "similar" one at Forever 21. Which I grabbed immediately!

Today I Love...

these Kosta Boda crystal make-up sculptures.  They come in girly colors such as red, pink and purple and are sold at Bloomingdale's. I can't wait to get one (or two) for my dresser!

Accessory Challenge: Day 27

I decided to switch it up a little and feature hosiery today.
  Hue tights and stockings are definitely my favorite brand. Affordable and fashionable.
Patterned hosiery is a great way to liven up a monochromatic ensemble. 

My Spring 2013 Must-Have List

As I caught up on my magazine reading, these trends were everywhere. Try one or try them all!

1) A bold lip and/or nail color: Go with poppy, red, coral or fuchsia for a fresh look. 

Trust me there's something for everyone!

2) An oversized neutral clutch:  Choose one like Kerry Washington's for a chic, easy to wear option

3) Serpent jewelry: Snakes are everywhere this season. Take a look at Kim Kardashian's necklace.

4) An oversized white tote or satchel: Remember white isn't just for summer anymore. 

Victoria Beckham carries one year-round.

5) Black-and-white accents: We already know this color (or non-color) scheme is everywhere and goes with everything so enjoy it!

I found this ring at H&M about a year ago. I love how it makes a statement but still manages to be subtle.

Oscars 2013 Red Carpet Recap

Tonight's red carpet was full of nude, beige and blush tones.  However, I was drawn to the few metallic, beaded dresses I saw. (Of course, I found a few pops of color.)

Karl Lagerfeld's Watches are Here!

I'm definitely a fan of Karl Lagerfeld (who isn't?) so when I heard about his watch collection it definitely sparked my interest. Bloomingdale's launched the collection in stores and online yesterday, which features plenty of silver tone, gunmetal and black stainless steel with an understated yet eye-catching look. The watches are available for both men and women and range from $195 to $595.

Accessory Challenge: Day 23

Today I wore my Nixon Time Teller watercolor watch. It's so lightweight that I forget I have it on, but I love the colors in it. Perfect with my jeans and t-shirt!

Accessory Challenge: Day 22

I found this handmade ring at a flea market while I was taking classes at FIT in New York. Any time I want to add a little fun to my outfit this is a go-piece.

Accessory Challenge: Day 21

This is another one of my combinations I lucked up on. I got the horn necklace (which is a symbol of good luck) from a shop in New York and the multi-strand necklace came from none other than Forever 21. I love how the turquoise and gold stands out against black!

Accessory Challenge: Day 20

I got this lovely leopard bracelet from Forever 21. However, it looks like something you would find at a flea market or arts & crafts festival which makes me like it even more. It's made from lightweight wood and has a hand-painted look. All for the exceptional price of $3.80!

Accessory Challenge: Day 19

If I haven't mentioned it already, Charlotte Russe has great $5 jewelry finds! This necklace was one of them. The cuff was also a great find from Macy's for $8.

Accessory Challenge: Day 17 & 18

Sunday, was a very relaxed day for me so the only accessory I wore was my Michael Kors watch I featured in a past post.

Today I was back to my usual, accessorized self with this Charlotte Russe necklace and a stack of bangles I've accumulated from several small jewelry stores in New York.

I spent my Saturday at brunch with great company. Then my car got towed (eek)! But I looked stylish during my mini-crisis in my Luxury Rebel Penelope boots.

Accessory Challenge: Day 15

Today I chose a set of beaded bracelets. Believe it or not I actually got these separately and they happened to match. The colors go with just about anything and I love how they look on my wrist!

NY Fashion Week: Day 8

The runways were full of coats, jackets and overcoats. They were also full of some of my favorite American Designers so lets take a look. 

Chic caps and coats prevailed at Ralph Lauren. 

Loving the leather and belted looks at the Calvin Klein show!

Metallic is definitely big this year and it looks fantastic on this Marc Jacobs dress. 

This coat, also Marc Jacobs, is just beautiful.

Accessory Challenge: Day 14

First, Happy Valentine's Day! Second, I didn't wear red today (whoops!).  Anywho, I always enjoy it when accessories are built into an outfit so I wore this embellished sweater from Ann Taylor Loft along with a grey maxi skirt. 

BTW: I'm giving my "come hither look" for VDay...just kidding! 

NY Fashion Week: Day 7

Today was full of color! I also noticed a lot of sporty items combined with girly details and I think I love it!

Milly featured plenty of spunk and sparkle. 

Along with one of the season's biggest trends: holographic colors. 

I love navy and black together; over at Bibhu Mohapatra it was combined perfectly.

Nanette Lepore made me drool over this rich purple leather look.

Rachel Zoe put her spin on the Little Black (leather) Dress. 

Michael Kors was futuristic yet practical with plenty of items I can actually see on the streets. 

I'm hoping someone's stylist had their eye on this beautiful J. Mendel gown for the Oscars.

Accessory Challenge: Day 13

I do not get to wear this Anthropologie necklace enough! So I figured wearing a navy dress and orange blazer would be the perfect opportunity to incorporate it into my outfit. I love the variation of stones and the color scheme...it kind of reminds me of the planets. Anthropologie has wonderful jewelry and if you catch a sale you can get a great price; this necklace was only $10!

Accessory Challenge: Day 11 (Updated)

Excuse the late posting due to technical difficulties! I promise I'm on track with my challenge! 

Today's accessories are a necklace and bracelet that I received from a great friend for Christmas. To use her exact words "you have to buy an accessory blogger accessories!" Since I wear plenty of black I knew this necklace would look great with almost any black dress I put it on with. And we know how I feel about lucite so the bracelet is perfect for me! Great job NW! ;-)

NY Fashion Week: Day 6

Today on the runways it was all about the "ladies who lunch" (and brunch and anything else ladylike you can possibly think of) with plenty of dainty suits and dresses.

At Tory Burch this look was fashionably demure. (I love the shoes poking out in the back too!)

Badgley Mischka always shines but this look was positively charming!

At Oscar de la Renta's show there were pencil skirts, long leather gloves and fur galore, 

and I loved every moment of it. 

The cut of this Vera Wang dress is so simple that it lets the embellished pattern 

do all of the fabulous work. 

Over at J. Crew this crisp winter white look was the winner for me.
